A gear shift support system in a truck?
15 years ago this would have been unimaginable. Not for our engineers, who started their efforts in obtaining a shift support system enabling car like gear changes back then. In 1998 this feature became a reality The spent effort was worthwhile, as the new shift system reduces forces eight fold in comparison to conventional systems. The collaborative development between HOERBIGER and Zahnradfabrik in Friedrichshafen resulted in HOERBIGER being cited as best technological supplier.
To date there have been more tha 1.000.000 of these novel units produced and succesfully applied.
What makes our system particular, is that each system is developed in close collaboration with our customer and thus exactly fits the wanted specification
